Types of Massages

  • Deep Tissue
Directed toward the deeper structures of the muscle and fascia in the body. It is slow because of the compressed force.
  • Swedish
General massage to the muscles intended more for relaxation of the body rather than the relief of pain.
  • Trigger point
Massage using ischemic compression (direct pressure) to the muscle belly to relieve pain in a direct area or specific spot.
  • Joint Mobilization
A technique using massage, vibration, and movement of a joint or area in order to relieve stress on the muscle that supports the joint of area (range of motion, spinal column, sij dysfunction, rotator cuff, etc...) This technique is not manipulation or chiropractic in nature.
  • Sports Massage
More muscle specific than Swedish massage. Helpful in cases of muscle cramps. Helps prevent injuries by increasing muscle tone and circulation.
  • Pregnancy
Performed during pregnancy to decrease stress, swelling, and back and leg pain. It also increases circulation while decreasing the development of varicose veins.
